Once an escape from the congestion, fast-pace lifestyle and violence that plagued the inner-city for decades, the South Suburbs of Chicago has been greatly effected by the elimination of CHA projects, a hyper-competitive global economy, the elimination of factories and an almost anti-retail economy that has decimated local shops.  In addition to this dynamic, the 2012 South Suburban Retail Investment Study revealed that "Retail Redlining" has impacted the community's economic base.

It is my endeavoring priority to partner with South Suburban City Mayors and Village Presidents to establish executable strategies that will prove beneficial for the citizens of the region for decades to come.
